Morning Announcements for Monday, October 21, 2019

  1. Any senior students looking to learn more about Apprenticeships please see Mr. Danzinger before the end of the quarter, October 30th.

  2. Tomorrow all FFA members will meet in the cafeteria during Power Hour.

  3. Any student that didn’t receive a flu shot form last Thursday, can pick one up from either your power hour teacher or from the office. The forms need to be returned by this Wednesday, October 23.

  4. All middle school band lessons for today are cancelled.

  5. Mr. Peterson’s power hour will need to report to their alternate power hour today.

  6. All 7th-12th grade choir students will need to report to the choir room during power hour. Please check in with your power hour for attendance before going to the choir room.

  7. Any high school student interested in wrestling-There is a sign-up sheet in the office.

  8. It’s “Teen Read Week” in the Library. Book mark coloring contest with prizes! Come down and get a book mark, color it and return with your name and grade on the back to be entered into the contest!

  1. NEF Rep will be here on Monday, Oct. 21st at 7:25 am for anyone interested in ordering a letterman jacket. Please sign up in the office.

  2. HS Boys Basketball sign up sheet in the office. Please sign up before the end of the week.

  3. 7th and 8th Grade Choir will be having a rehearsal during Power Hour. Please check in with your regular Power Hour rooms for attendance first.

  4. Ms. Klapperich’ Power Hour report to your alternate Power Hour rooms today.

  6. Please release both the Middle School Cross Country runners and the High School Cross Country at 2:20 pm today so they may get ready for their conference meets at Spring Valley. The bus will be leaving at 2:30 pm.

There is no school tomorrow for Parent – Teacher Conferences in the morning and Staff Development in the afternoon.

  2. Juniors who are taking the PSAT should plan to complete the answer sheet during your study hall or Power Hour today.

  3. Please excuse the Middle School Football team at 3:00 pm today for their game in Colfax.

  4. Congratulations to the Middle School Boys and Girls Cross Country teams on your performance at the Arcadia meet on Saturday. The boys’ team finished in 2nd place and brought home a trophy for their efforts. Special congratulations for the boys that finished in the top twenty individually – Parker Almsted 2nd place, Denbello Bauer 3rd place, Michael Strasser 16th place and Alex Hagness 19th place. Also, congratulations to Chloe Auth who finished in 7th place overall in the girls’ race.

  5. Any High School students interested in joining Forensics this year, please attend the informational meeting during Power Hour today in Ms. Peterson’s room, room 111. If you are unable to attend, make sure you check in with Ms. Peterson to receive the materials you will miss.

  6. All Middle School Volleyball players need to get to Caddie Woodlawn as soon as they can after school to help set up nets and prepare for our last game tonight. Purple team will play at 4:30 and Gold team will play after that. We will also have a short meeting before the games start. Also, be prepared to turn in your Volleyball jersey after your games are done tonight.

  2. Reminder to all Middle School students who sold for the Club’s Choice fundraiser: The delivery for the fundraising items is tonight from 3 – 4:30 pm. Please make sure to pick items up at this time.

  2. Any High School students with birthdays in September, October or November – birthday bags will be handed out today during lunch.

  3. Reminder to all Middle School Students who sold for the Club’s Choice fundraiser:   The delivery for the fundraising items is Friday night from 3 – 4:30pm. Please make sure to pick items up at this time.

  4. The Middle School Volleyball players will be heading to their Elmwood/Plum City game to Elmwood by 3:45 today. Please be ready to board the bus and go by that time. Also Volleyball players should get their $5 in to Mrs. Carrier today for their pizza party coming up on Friday.

  1. Mrs. Weiss’ Power Hour report to alternate Power Hour rooms today.

  2. There will be a meeting in Mr. Patnode’s room today during Power Hour for anyone interested in joining FFA this year. Mr. Patnode’s Power Hour will need to report to their alternate Power Hour rooms today.

  3. All 7th and 8th grade boys interested in playing basketball, there is a meeting today during Power Hour in the commons. Please report to your Power Hour rooms for attendance before going to the commons. Even if you didn’t sign up in the office, if you are interested in playing please attend the meeting.

  4. Congratulations to the Varsity Cross Country team as the girls placed 1st in Black River Falls last night, after a tie breaker with Mosinee, keeping their streak alive! Top 15 Medalists include Kendall Hagness, Madison Sand, Olivia Breidung, Lauren Brantner, Lauren Peterson and Ainsley Hagness. Parker Schneider medaled placing 1st in the boys’ race, his fifth title in a row! Best of luck in Arcadia on Saturday.

  5. Congratulations to the boys’ and girls’ Middle School Cross Country teams on your performance at Amery last night. Special congratulations go to Denbello Bauer who finished 7th, Parker Almsted who finished 10th and Michael Strasser who finished 18th. The boys were in a race that featured 231 boys from 18 different schools! The boys’ team finished in 4th place. The girls’ race featured 203 athletes and Chloe Auth finished 14th overeall!

  8. Attention High School Student Council members: Trunk or Treat Committee members will meet in Mr. Kvislen’s room during Power Hour today. Birthday Bags committee will meet in Mr. Kvislen’s room at 3:00 today.

  9. Congratulations to the 7th grade Volleyball players for their big win over the Spring Valley team last night! All 7th & 8th grade Volleyball players, remember to get your pizza money to Mrs. Carrier today. If you can’t turn it in today, tomorrow will be the latest it will be accepted.

  10. All 7th and 8th grade Choir members should report to the Choir room after attendance for Power Hour.Any 7th or 8th grade boy going to the basketball meeting should go to their meeting and will be excused from this rehearsal.

  1. All 7th and 8th grade boys interested in playing basketball, there is a meeting tomorrow during Power Hour in the commons. Please report to your Power Hour rooms for attendance before going to the commons. Even if you didn’t sign up in the office, if you are interested in playing please attend the meeting.

  2. Please release Middle School Cross Country members today at 2:45 pm so they may get ready to leave for their Cross Country meet in Amery. The bus will be leaving at 2:55 pm.

  3. Mr. Peterson’s 8th grade Music Appreciation class should report to Mrs. Gray’s room for class today.

  4. Please release Middle School Football players at 3:00 pm today for their game in Arcadia.

Morning Announcements for Friday, October 4, 2019

  1. Any 7th & 8th grade boys interested in playing basketball should sign up in the office. Also, there is a sign up sheet for 6th grade boys basketball and a handout to be picked up.

  2. Attention Juniors: Miss Richardson is still looking for concession workers for next week's volleyball games. She needs 2-3 workers on Tuesday, October 8th and 1-2 workers on Thursday, October 10th. Sign up in her room during power hour. Please do your part in raising money for prom. She thanks the students who have already worked multiple sporting events!

  3. Congratulations to the High School Cross Country teams. Kendall Hagness placed 2nd and Madison Sand placed 4th; both earned medals. The girls’ team took their sixth team title of the season, remaining undefeated. Parker Schneider took his fourth individual title, placing 1st and Manny Bauer in 4th; both earned medals as well.

  4. Congratulations to the Middle School Boys and Girls cross country teams on your performance last night in Prescott. Special congratulations go out to our athletes who placed in the top ten overall. They include Chloe Auth who finished 1st, Allie McMahon 10th, Parker Almsted 1st, Denbello Bauer 2nd, and Michael Strasser who finished 5th. The boys team finished in 1st place out of 9 schools.

  1. Any High School students interested in student council should meet in Mr. Kvislen’s room on today, during Power Hour.

  2. Early College Credit and Start College Now applications for next semester are due back to Mrs. Tolle today.

  3. Juniors attending the college fair tomorrow will load the bus immediately after 1st hour down by the district office. They will be back to school near the beginning of 5th hour.

  4. Any 7th & 8th grade boys interested in playing basketball should sign up in the office. Also, there is a sign up sheet for 6th grade boys basketball and a handout to be picked up.

  5. Middle School Halloween committee should meet in Mr. Bauer’s room at 3:00 pm today during Power Hour.

  4. Any High School students interested in student council should meet in Mr. Kvislen’s room on tomorrow, during Power Hour. 

  5. The lost and found box is seriously overflowing. Claim your lost items today. Tomorrow unclaimed items will be taken to St. Vincent’s. Two retainers, glasses and jewelry are some of the items turned in to the office; be sure to ask for these items if you have lost them.
